As you all know we are currently decorating our house and have no clue yet what we want to do. We can't decide on anything as we aren't sure what will or won't look good in a room.
I went back to my parents house in Sunderland last weekend and my dad gave me some really good advice which I thought I would share with you all (although to be honest most of you will already have thought of it).
He told me to go to show homes and write down what we like and don't like about the decor and furniture. As our estate is still being built there are actually 4 show homes currently on the site and the nice woman who works there has said she will let us have a look around all of them and if we like anything she will find out where they got it from. As well as the ones on our estate there are a few others nearby so we are going to have a weekend of looking round houses to get n idea as to what we want.
I thought this was a really good idea as it doesn't waste anyone's time as they are show homes and we can then visualise what our house could look like. We can also take some photos so we can remind ourselves what the layout of the rooms and furniture looked like.
